Introduction to Teaching from the BACK of the Room!
This session introduces Teaching from the BACK of the Room! through its 6 Learning Principles. You will experience learner-centred strategies that promote engagement, support deeper learning, and help expand classroom practice beyond content delivery alone.
These principles include movement, talking, writing, images, short learning bursts, and variety - all shown to support attention, understanding and retention.
Rather than listening to a traditional presentation, you will learn through experience, participating in a series of carefully designed activities that mirror what learning designed this way can feel like.
Throughout the session, you will capture insights using a graphic organiser you can keep and reuse when designing classroom lessons or professional learning.
The experience concludes with reflection on what meaningful engagement looks and feels like when learning is intentionally designed.
